Oliver Russell employees enjoy a fun and casual workplace, as well as excellent benefits. In fact, for 2 years in a row, the nonprofit B Lab named us to its “B Corp Best for Workers” list. This list recognizes socially responsible businesses that score in the top 10 percent of the more than 2,000 Certified B Corporations.
In addition to fair-market compensation we offer the following:
Employer-paid medical benefits: Medical, dental, and vision insurance is available to all employees working 25 hours or more per week, and Oliver Russell pays 100 percent of the premiums.
Profit sharing: Ten percent of our firm’s before-tax profits are paid out as bonuses based on profits, and the pool is split equally among all full-time employees. Part-time employees also are eligible, though on a different payout schedule.
Continuing-education policy: We offer reimbursement for classes, seminars, workshops, or other educational opportunities that help further our employees’ job skills and/or goals. Upon successful completion of a class with a C grade or higher, we reimburse 100 percent of all fees and materials. Quarterly wellness benefits: We reimburse our employees up to $150 each quarter for purchases related to health and well-being, such as gym memberships, exercise equipment, and massage.
Maternity/paternity leave: Employees with at least 12 months of employment are eligible for our maternity/paternity leave program and can draw up to six weeks of paid leave. All company-paid health benefits remain in effect during leave and employees are restored to their same position upon return.
Kid friendly environment: Children are welcome in the office, from a short visit to a day when childcare falls through to a Mom coming off maternity leave and bring her new baby to work for a few months.
Teleworking/flex schedules: In an effort to accommodate differing life situations, we offer the option to work flex schedules and/or telecommute.
Community team-building: Each month we volunteer 1-2 hours as a group for a nonprofit selected by an employee. When the service project is completed, Oliver Russell buys lunch for the entire team.
Community celebration: Every year we sponsor Treefort Music Fest and provide all employees a pass.
Paid personal volunteer time: Each month Oliver Russell will match up to four hours of employees’ personal volunteer time during office hours.
Alternative transportation stipend: Employees who use public transportation, carpool, or bike or walk to work are given a small monthly stipend to encourage and reward their efforts.
Bike friendly: Oliver Russell is recognized by the League of American Cyclists as a Bronze-level Bicycle-friendly Business. We have onsite showers and lockers available, and maintain a fleet of in-house bicycles (along with helmets and locks) for employees to use to run errands, or to get outside for some exercise or fresh air during the workday.
Dog friendly: No need to leave your best friend at home; well-behaved dogs are allowed in the office.
Ping-pong friendly: With games paid daily, our office ping-pong table isn’t lonely.
Outdoor friendly: During the summers we take employees on several outdoor adventures, including rafting trips and camping expeditions.
Volunteer Vacations: In 2016. Seven employees went took a Fathom Impact Cruise to Dominican Republic to work on volunteer projects in the Dominican Republic community.
