Encompass is one of the largest Medicare certified home healthcare services provider in United States. Services include skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy , speech therapy, and medical social services, plus home health aide services. Encompass has over 230 office staff locations throughout the country. Local community support: Encompass supports a non-profit organization called Encompass Cares, which assists in the community by helping to sponsor, fan drives, blanket drives, Habitat for Humanity, solider care packets and much much more. Encompass Cares has also provided financial support in times of community crisis, e.g. donations for families affected by fires, hurricanes, and ice storms. Over two hundred grants were given to employees to assist on international mission trips.
Internal job posting program advertises leadership position opportunities to all employees, to allow them to apply for the position in advance of external applicants. 74% of supervisory positions were filled last year by existing employees, so we aggressively support a "promote from within" policy. Encompass created a professional development/educational facility called the Encompass Development Center at the home office, which conducts new employee orientation courses, supervisory/leadership training & development courses.
We utilize a Preceptorship program which provides a mentoring/job shadowing/training environment to our new clinical field employees, and the program helps develop the preceptors into future supervisors for the company.
